AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited has disclosed receiving an order from the Registrar of Companies, Bengaluru, dated September 17, 2026, imposing a penalty of Rs 1,88,000 on the company and Rs 50,000 each on its erstwhile officers, related to a delay in filing Form MR-2 concerning the appointment of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Panchal as Managing Director from January 1, 2023, to June 30, 2025; the delay was attributed to technical glitches on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) portal that erroneously marked Dr. Panchal's Director Identification Number (DIN) as inactive.
